Ryerson Commons

The beautiful campus Dining Hall and its surrounding lawn are being rededicated to honor the legacy of President Emerita Lisa Marsh Ryerson '81. This includes the construction of an outdoor terrace and patio that takes advantage of Wells' natural setting and scenic view of Cayuga Lake.

The terrace addition to the Dining Hall lawn will provide a useful, comfortable gathering and meeting place for Wells students and the community. The construction, made possible through the support of donors to the Lisa Marsh Ryerson '81 Presidential Fund for Student Success, will pay tribute to President Emerita Ryerson's over 20 years of service to the College.

Comfortable, movable seating and an open fire pit will make the Ryerson Commons ideal for many uses, and the view to the lake will make for unforgettable, breezy evenings for all. Construction will be completed and the terrace open for use in the summer of 2014!
The space will be used for special Wells events such as Reunion and Commencement as well as many events year-round organized by student groups or local community members. It will be connected to Wells' dining hall facilities, and WiFi access allows for connectivity required for group presentations or just for those looking for a place to sit and study.
