Ithaca Daily Shuttle Service
When the Ithaca Daily Shuttle is operating it stops at the following locations:
- Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport
- Convenient Care Center
- Pyramid Mall
- Robert Purcell Union/African Studies Center, Cornell
- Louie’s Lunch, Risley Hall, Cornell bus stop
- Sage Hall, Cornell, East Avenue
- Collegetown, Performing Arts Center
- The Commons, corner of Aurora and State Streets
- Wegmans, read entrance
- Bus Station
- Lansing Park-n-Ride
The vehicle stops only if someone has reserved a drop-off or pick-up at one of the specified destinations. Depending on variables like road conditions, the number of stops, weather, and mechanical problems, differences in pick-up times may occur. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the stop five minutes before the vehicle is scheduled to arrive.
If the vehicle is 15 minutes late beyond the scheduled pick-up time, please contact the Campus Safety Department at 315-364-3229. In an effort to keep the vehicle on schedule and get passengers to their destinations on time, the driver will only wait 2 minutes beyond the scheduled departure time from any location (including Main). There are no turn-arounds once a vehicle is in route.
The Ithaca daily scheduled transportation service is not offered during college breaks.
Transportation vehicles have limited seating and reservations are managed on a first come, first served basis. Students have priority for van service, followed by faculty and staff, then guests.
Reservations must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled run. Sign up to take a shuttle in the front of the Camus Safety Building.
Reservation cancellations are also required. Cancellations must be made 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. If the cancellation is not called in or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure, it will result in the issuance of a transportation fine of $10 which will be billed to the student’s Bookstore Account. Repeated infractions may result in disciplinary charges in accordance with the Community Handbook.
Cancellation of Daily Runs
The safety of our community is our first priority. For this reason, during the winter months, hazardous road conditions could cause a severe delay or cancellation of a regularly scheduled transportation shuttle. The decision to cancel a transportation shuttle will only be made by the transportation coordinator or the director of campus safety. Should a cancellation occur, the following guidelines will apply:
• A campus wide email will be sent to inform the community of the cancellation
• At no time will an individual be “stranded” due to a cancelled transportation shuttle. If you need assistance due to a cancelled transportation shuttle, please contact the 24-hour Campus Safety Department at 315-364-3229.
