Spring Semester 2014

March 24th - May 11th

"There Is Nothing Left for You Back There"

Come see a new exhibition of artwork by Wells College junior, Hyla Waldron '15. You can see the exhibit, titled, "There Is Nothing Left For You Back There," in the library's first floor gallery space from March 24 to May 11. If the endless winter weather has you down, a few moments surrounded by Hyla's amazing colors and "quirky birds" will have you smiling in no time!

Hyla's Artist Statement:
“There is nothing left for you back there” refers to leaving the past where it is.  If it is no good to you in the present, burn it and leave it behind.  Soar head first into the future and make no apologies.
Things I am: Artist. Happy. Mother of 4. Wife. Student. Reiki practitioner. Listener. Multi-tasker. Ambitious. Do-er. Challenger. Accepter of Challenges. Inspirer. Evolver. Teacher. Encourager.

Tori Burrell '14, Wells College Archive Intern, has created an interesting, and ambitious, exhibit featuring a timeline of Wells College history. From its founding by Henry Wells, to our new Interim President Dr. Thomas deWitt, the timeline highlights some of Wells most fascinating facts!

The timeline will be installed in the 2nd floor walk-through gallery space in Long Library (just outside the Learning Commons). Please stop and have a look!
