Graphic designers work at the forefront of developments in technology and visual culture, understanding and drawing on the rich histories of the past. As a student in the graphic design program, you’ll acquire the skills crucial to today’s workplace and media-saturated culture. You’ll learn to design for the Internet, video, print and various multimedia outlets as you prepare for a career working in design studios, advertising agencies, corporate and institutional design offices, and freelance opportunities. You may complete internships in design firms or other design-related organizations, working in a professional context with designers and clients to plan, execute or manage design jobs.
