Theodore Lossowski

"What I like best about Wells is the rich diversity in both the students and the faculty. I have taught students from all over this country and the world, and have learned much about their cultural heritage. There is always a different personal solution from each individual student for each of the projects I assign. Students come to my courses because they need a tactile visual experience. It is a good thing to touch materials and bring them to life in a creative way."

Professor Lossowski's own artistic work is mostly involved with multi-media non-representational sculpture that consists primarily of ceramics, wood, metal, and glass. He enjoys the challenge of combining these non-similar materials and making them harmonious. In the classroom, he also enjoys the challenge of working with students from different backgrounds and utilizing different approaches with each individual to help them achieve their maximum potential.
