Wells College President Jonathan Gibralter and Aurora mayor Bonnie Bennett will share their thoughts about the College’s 150th anniversary, followed by a special performance by Symphoria, the professional symphony orchestra of Central New York. During the concert, Professor Emeritus Bruce Bennett and Professor Dan Rosenberg will read their works of poetry that were specially commissioned for the Wells College Sesquicentennial.
Afterward, we’ll gather out on the front lawn of Main Building to watch a spectacular fireworks display—sponsored by Cayuga Lake National Bank in honor and memory of Bill Ryan, the bank’s CEO and president who passed away in August. The celebration then continues with a party on Ryerson Commons and in the Dining Hall.
This event in celebration of Wells College’s 150th anniversary is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required. To register, visit wells.edu/150th-registration and sign up by Thursday Oct. 4!
